Twinkle

September arrives and Christmas is not far away when the twinkling star shone above Bethlehem to announce the Light of the World’s birth. That tiny star drew shepherds and wise men to the most humble setting God could find to behold the baby Jesus. That star, so small to human view, helped changed the world!

Just as the twinkle of the Holy Spirit in the eyes of a Christian can help God change everything for another human being. The light of Christ’s love reflects brightly through the eyes of the committed Christian in all kinds of situations: joyous, tragic, celebratory, melancholy, exciting, or grief-stricken. Every act of love witnesses to the love of God: feeding the homeless, clothing those who have lost everything in a natural disaster, grieving with those who are mourning tragedy, rescuing abused children. The love we feel for Him must be shared. His light lives through us thanks to the indwelling of the Holy Spirit because of all God and Jesus have done for us.

“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.” Matthew 5:16 NKJV
