The year I graduated from college, my music theory professor gave me a ladybug paperweight as a graduation gift. I had been his theory assistant who graded some of his papers for him during several semesters. I enjoyed the work though only Dr. Fremder and I knew I was marking the papers. He looked over my work before handing the papers back to his students. He didn’t call me on too many mistakes thankfully. Ever since, I have grown to cherish the invaluable contributions of those who work behind the scenes to make things run smoothly.
Along the way I have found unexpected spiritual significance of ladybugs. I have always wondered if my professor knew about the religious connections. Well, God knew and thankfully revealed them to me in time. Thanks for your interest in my writing.
