Nostalgia

October brings the anniversary of my father’s death from liver cancer 26 years ago. The spider lilies my mom gave me from her yard just bloomed last week. Dad called all flowers dandelions cause he couldn’t tell one from the other. My sis and I just sold the family home because it needed so much maintenance work that we couldn’t afford.   Mom has been gone 8 years now, but those red flowers still bloom reminding me of her, and the love she and my dad had for my sister and me.

  1. I love all your posts; just haven’t registered so I can comment & can’t think of good comments anyway. I may just have to post a smiley face. 😀
